Can I run a gaming server?
Of course. We have no problems at all if you want to operate your server as a game server.
How do I place an order?
Choose and configure the server that you want from our 'Hosting Services' page and click the "Order Server" button. Alternatively, you can call us at 1-888-GO-0FAIL during normal business hours. For a custom design, send an email with your server specifications to our sales department.
How can I pay for the service?
We accept the following credit cards for all orders:
How fast is your network connection?
Very fast. We have an OC-192 (10 Gbps) line coming into our data center.
Do I get root access on my server?
Yes. All of our services include full root access to your server.
Will ZEROFAIL monitor my server?
We will monitor the ping response of your server for free 24 hours a day 7 days a week. If there are any problems you will automatically be notified via email or pager.
How much will it cost to Colocate my non-rackmount server?
To determine the cost of colocating a non-rackmount server, we need to know the server's specific dimensions. If you send us the dimensions of the server, our sales department will generate a custom quote for you.
Can you install my favorite Linux/BSD Distribution?
We can install any Open Source operating system that you'd like. Just let your account representative know during the ordering process, and we'll take it from there.
How is bandwidth handled?
If you exceed your quota you will be charged for the next level of bandwidth ($1 per 1 GB block).
How is bandwidth measured?
We sample the ethernet port on the switch every five minutes to determine how much data your machine is moving. We measure both incoming and outgoing traffic.
Is there any fee to upgrade my bandwidth?
There are no upgrade fees. You will be charged for bandwidth as you use it. Your site will never be turned off, or blocked, unless you request us to.
How much do additional IP addresses cost?
Additional IP addresses are sold in blocks of 8 addresses, and each block costs $15/month.
Can my hardware be upgraded after I order?
Yes. For dedicated servers we will purchase and install the hardware for you. The cost will be only an increased monthly fee. For colocation, you provide the hardware, and the cost is only the labor for the installation.
Does ZEROFAIL provide DNS service?
Yes. If you would like, we can handle all of the DNS service for your domains. If you would like a specific reverse lookup, we can configure that as well.
Can I use ZEROFAIL as my secondary DNS?
Yes. If you would like to run the primary DNS, we will happily set up secondary DNS.
Can I run my own DNS?
Yes. If you want to configure your server to operate the DNS for your domains, that is no problem at all.
How big is your company?
ZEROFAIL is comprised of 15 hard working, whip smart, employees. We are not a huge corporation, and we like it that way. And perhaps most importantly, so do our customers.
How many clients do you have?
We host several hundred dedicated servers for customers from all over the world.
If I need help in the middle of the night, will someone be able to help me?
Yes. Just call us at 514-848-9198 x301, follow the emergency instructions, and someone will be in touch with you shortly. Regardless of what time it is.
Can you manage my server for me?
We don't typically provide managed hosting, but if you would like us to manage your server for you please contact us, and our sales staff will get you a quote.
This is my first server and I'll need a lot of help, is that OK?
It sure is. Your personal representative will be able to teach you the basics of taking care of your server, and guide you along the way. We've helped many people with their first server, and we'll be ready when you are.
